Madison Park is an 8.3 acre village located on the shores of Lake Washington east of Seattle and south of the Evergreen Point Floating Bridge in Washington State. It is famous for its small town village feel.

Brief History
During the 19th century Judge John J. McGilvra bought several hundred acres of land to the east of Seattle and the to west of lake Washington and platted several additions to the city.
In 1864-5 created Madison Street at his own expense. The project cost him $1500.00. He then subsidized the Madison Street Cable Railway to the tune of $100,000.00, running from Pioneer Square to the shores of Lake Washington. In the latter part of the 19th century he developed the beach area into a park with a paddle wheel steam boat, a promenade, floating bandstands, beer and gambling halls, athletic fields, a greenhouse, and piers for ships that cruised on Lake Washington.
